Jalapeno Poppers cause apartment fire

Kimberly Hobbs, whose apartment was the origin of the fire, said he was about to fix it same jalapeno poppers when a friend called and asked for a ride. Hobbs said that she had put a pot of grease on the stove until her friend called and forgot there was as he left his apartment.

When arrived home, she said, "I saw smoke coming out and all these fire trucks".
The scene fire officials said it appeared that the pot of fat in electric range burner was the cause of the fire.
"Seems to have been the main body of the fire in the kitchen," said Captain Paul Sykes. "It is quite consistent with what we have found so far."
